I am heartened to see bulk orders leaving our warehouse on a steady basis. The destination for these orders are hospitals and clinics throughout the United States. The professional therapists who work at these places are in awe of our feeding tube onesies. The cute prints and beautiful colors excite them, but most of all they are delighted with the clinical design that is made exclusively for children with g-tubes.
As a parent to a child with special needs I appreciate when my son's therapists, doctors and teachers go the extra mile. Each time I receive a recommendation from them for new equipment that they feel would benefit my child, I once again am reminded that it takes a village to raise a child. A little while back, when I was looking for a new seating system for my son, his teacher took a vested interest in helping us find that perfect chair. It was not part of her teaching contract, yet the time and effort she put into his chair made her love for my son palpable.
We are constantly reminded that material items do not show love. I beg to differ. Material items often do show love. When a therapist or a doctor goes out of her way, beyond her call of duty, and purchases clothing and equipment for a patient/client, it is a clear show of love.
